Johnshaven resident, Margaret Farmer, is celebrating 25 years service as Cleaning Supervisor at Lathallan School, Johnshaven.

She was presented with a beautiful print of Lathallan School and a crystal vase. She was greeted by well deserved applause in a packed assembly hall by all the pupils and teachers.

Mr Adrian Page, teacher and colleague since 1993, spoke of her dedication, kindness and friendliness to all the former and current pupils and staff and congratulated her on her excellent work and service to the school.

Mr Richard Toley, headmaster, said: “We are so grateful to Margaret for her extremely hard work here at the school and she is a much respected and friendly member of staff. Former pupils recall her with such fondness and our current pupils and staff are thankful for her enthusiasm and commitment to looking after the school.”

Margaret thanked Mr Page and Mr Toley for their kind words and has enjoyed working with everyone over the years. She hopes to continue her good work at the school for many more years.
